NH Film Festival seeks volunteers

[Opportunities from the New Hampshire Film Festival...]

The 8th Annual NH Film Festival, being held in Portsmouth from October 16th-19th, is seeking volunteers to work at various venues and events throughout the festival. This year’s festival promises to be another outstanding opportunity to view great films, hear from local and national filmmakers and producers, and learn more about the art and craft of filmmaking from a variety of perspectives.

Volunteers will work at screenings, panel discussions, workshops, festival headquarters, and other venues to assist with set up, ticket sales and ticket taking, greeting patrons, merchandise sales, and filmmaker registration during the four-day festival. Assistance will also be needed prior to the festival with distribution of programs and posters. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a minimum of two-hour shifts and are welcomed to sign up for as many shifts as they wish. All volunteers will receive free admission to screenings, workshops and panel discussions based on the amount of volunteer time served. Meetings will be held in late September and early October to provide training and detailed information for volunteers.

Anyone interested in becoming involved in this exciting and fun-filled event should contact Deb Barry, Volunteer Coordinator at 603-647-6439 or deb@nhfilmfestival.com.
