New Hampshire High School Short Film Festival - Deadline Approaching!

The New Hampshire Film & Television Office is reminding students that the deadline to submit films for the 2010 New Hampshire High School Short Film Festival is approaching. All submissions must be postmarked on or before March 31, 2010, or arrive at the State Library in Concord by 4 p.m. on that date.

Designed to foster and reward interest in filmmaking for future members of the industry, the NH High School Short Film Festival is open to students currently enrolled in grades 9-12 at New Hampshire public or private high schools. Submissions do not have to have been created as part of a school project.

Rules and guidelines, film submission forms and other festival information about the NH High School Short Film Festival can be found online at www.nhstudentfilm.com.

All submitted films are reviewed by a panel of judges made up of New Hampshire film industry professionals. Selected films are shown at Festival itself, which takes place at New Hampshire Technical Institute’s Sweeney Hall Auditorium in Concord on May 15, 2010, beginning at noon.

Winners of the Jury Award, which is selected by the judging panel, and the Audience Award, which is selected by those attending the Festival, will be screened at Red River Theatres in summer 2010 and on NH Day at the NH Film Festival in October 2010.
