Londonderry, NH - The new independent film JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME, which was released in select theaters on March 16 and stars Jason Segel, Ed Helms and Susan Sarandon, has New Hampshire ties as the production recruited the help of Londonderry-based Indiefair Studios for dialogue re-recording with one of the film’s supporting stars.

Scott Orlosk, President of Indiefair, and Art Murphy, Vice President and General Manager, were contacted by Jeff Brothers Productions, the producers of the film, and EarCandy, a post-production studio based in Los Angeles, to coordinate ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) between the east and west coast studios with actress Rae Dawn Chong, who resides in New Hampshire.

“They sent us video of the scenes so we could download them using an ftp link,” explains Orlosk. “We set up a video chat session with the film’s co-director Mark Duplass so he could see and hear Rae Dawn and give instructions. We had a list of lines to do along with precisely where they went in the scene. Mark talked to Rae Dawn about the scenes and what he was looking for. Art queued up the scenes and gave the actress and Mark a monitor to watch.”

“The idea is to get it so that the actor can react to what's actually going on in the scene,” says Murphy. “Rae Dawn did each line several ways until Mark was happy. Some of it was actual lines and some consisted of relatively soft and subtle sounds. Once we had all the audio captured, Mark chose the takes he liked best. Art shaped the audio to match the scene and placed it carefully where it belonged. We uploaded the selected sequences and all the audio to the film's post production team.”

JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME tells the story of Jeff, who, while on his way to the store to buy wood glue, looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life... and if he's lucky, pick up the wood glue as well. More information on the film can be found at http://jeffwholivesathome.com.
