Real Reel Entertainment, a full service Production Company specializing in Reality-Based Television and located in Los Angeles, CA has chosen Liquid Planet Water Park in Candia, NH as a location to film a new Reality Based TV Series tentatively called Thicker Than Water.

Joel T. Smith and John Zander, partners of Real-Real, have announced that they have assembled a production crew and will be on-location at Liquid Planet Water Park on Saturday May 15 and Sunday May 16 to shoot the pilot for this new TV show.

According to Smith, Liquid Planet Water Park was chosen because of its unique location, the unique set of circumstances the family that runs it experiences and because there has never been anything quite like this on tv before.

Park owner Kevin J. Dumont was thrilled with the news and the opportunity to shoot the series. “Running a Water Park with your family and friends can be an emotionally charged atmosphere filled with fights, arguments and a whole lot of stress and it's true it sometimes pushes us to the edge but it never occurred to me that it would be a good match for a Reality TV series. However, having said that, we have all decided that while allowing the cameras to peek inside the inner workings of the park may be a little unusual, maybe we do have a good story to tell and in the end I feel viewers will relate to the fact that family members may argue but we're still family and nothing in this world is more important to us than each other".

The pilot shooting will be open to the public on both days with admission to the park making attendees eligible to be included as part of the filming.

Smith has over 30 years experience in the entertainment business. He began as a documentary filmmaker working in areas as diverse as the Sahara Desert, the South Atlantic Ocean and the Amazon Jungle. He Directed the Media Center at Duke University for several years, then later served as the Vice President of SeaGull Entertainment, an international television distribution company. At SeaGull he developed the telepicture “Merlin,” then wrote the Bible for and launched production on a twenty-two (22) hour television series, “Tarzan: The Epic Adventures,” the first US series filmed on location in South Africa. Joel followed this by producing “Lost in Oz” for Warner Brothers Television and the WB Network. Among his feature credits Joel wrote the gangster film, “Black Snow” and produced “Steven King’s RIDING THE BULLET.” More recently he supervised a series of eight (8) television movies for LIFETIME, ABC Family and SCI FI CHANNEL. Joel also wrote, produced and directed “Harley-Davidson: the American Motorcycle,” Turner Broadcasting’s highest rated documentary special of all time.

John Zander has a wide and varied background in the entertainment industry. He started out as a personal Manager, booking actors into television and feature film roles and helping direct their careers. From there, John ran his own publicity firm. He handled promotions for numerous feature films including, “Pan’s Labyrinth,” which received six Oscar nominations and three wins, Universal’s “Hellboy II,” and FOX’s “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.” John subsequently served as Vice President of Highlander Films, where he oversaw several television and feature film productions.
