Matthew Newton to present at June 28 Arts, Culture and the Law Conference

Matthew Newton will represent the New Hampshire Film & Television Office at the Arts, Culture and the Law Conference 2012, which takes place June 28 at the UNH School of Law in Concord.
                                      
Newton, director of the Film & Television Office, will be part of the panel, “Content Creation & Distribution in a New Media World.” Sessions begin with five-minute presentations by panelists and are followed by a question-and-answer session with attendees, who come from both the legal and the arts and culture communities.

More than a dozen panels take place during the all-day Conference, now in its second year. Table topic discussions are scheduled during the lunch break. John T. Broderick, Jr., dean of the UNH School of Law, and Michael Delaney, New Hampshire attorney general, are scheduled to address the Conference.

“The topics addressed at this conference attract attendees, but the expertise provided by the panelists and table topic facilitators is the real draw,” said Van McLeod, commissioner of the Department of Cultural Resources. “Their collective knowledge makes this event a true powerhouse.”

Cost to attend the Arts, Culture and the Law Conference 2012 is $50 and includes lunch and refreshments during the morning and afternoon breaks. Scholarships are available.

The Arts, Culture and the Law Conference 2012 is a unique collaboration of partners from the public and private sector: the N.H. Department of Cultural Resources, the N.H. Department of Justice, the N.H. Center for Nonprofits, the N.H. Business Committee for the Arts and the UNH School of Law.
