State Senator, Film Office supporter Carl Johnson dies

It is with much sadness and regret that we share the news of the passing of former New Hampshire State Senator Carl Johnson, 88, of Meredith. Among his many accomplishments throughout his career, Senator Johnson was always a great supporter of the New Hampshire Film & Television Office and media production activity in... the state and was instrumental in helping to craft the legislation that re-established the Film Office and the New Hampshire Film Commission in 1998. Senator Johnson remained an ex officio member of the Film Commission over the past decade and was always happy to attend our meetings, meet members of our state’s industry and take part in various Film Office events. Senator Johnson will indeed be missed.
