Ben Proulx's "Wrecked" to kick off Nashua Public Library's Plaza Pics Outdoor Series

Community Events LLC, a Nashua based production company, will produce the Nashua Public Library's Plaza Pics, outdoor movies series in Greeley Park this summer. The series will run on the last 4 Fridays in July (10, 17, 24, 31) The shows will start at dusk (approx 8:30) public arrival will begin at 6:30. The films are free to the public. There will be a "Kick Off"/press event on June 10th at 7:30 featuring the movie "WRECKED" by Nashua native and Fitchburg State College Student Ben Proulx and Air Force Academy Senior, Joe Lopez.

There will be live music from 4:00 until dusk, including a performance by local talent Charlie Chronopoulos, who will be premiering his new music video at night.

St. Joseph's Hospital, the law firm of Gottesman and Hollis PA, BOSE Professional Sound and Community Events are sponsoring the film series. Community Events will be using it's 40 ft. inflatable movie screen for the productions.

Series producer & owner of Community Events, Chris Malloy is excited about the Nashua Film Series.

"The Nashua Public Library has been hosting this outdoor film series since the mid seventies, and we are looking forward to taking these events to the next level, after moving to Nashua 3 years ago, I am glad that I can contribute to this series for the city." Malloy said. "I am proud to be working with so many great sponsors" Malloy added.

While the official series will start in July, Community Event's is screening "WRECKED" a Ben Proulx Film. "WRECKED" is a feature length (68 mins) film that shows teens the deadly consequences of drunk driving. ""WRECKED" is a perfect film to screen for this kickoff event. It is very well made, and incredibly effective." Malloy said

Ben Proulx, who recently started a small production company, is looking forward to the event.

"This will be a great chance to really show off the outstanding local talent. This area has a lot to offer as far as music and film, and this event will be a festival to showcase some of the best artists." Proulx said.

The "WRECKED" Screening will be June 10th at approx 8:30 There will be several Nashua High student films shown before "WRECKED" as well.
