Who Are You Wearing: Oscars 2012

I have always said "it takes a village" to put me together for big awards shows and the 84th Annual Academy Awards were no exception. My team did an incredible job pulling together clothing, jewelry, and the right lip color for last Sunday.  Without them, I would have been on that red carpet in my yoga pants and Ugg Boots.  So, thank you to Team KB for making me look WAY better than I do in real life. Your early morning efforts were beyond appreciated.

Let's give kudos to them:

Stylist : Roni B
Hair : Lisa Cavalone
Make-Up : Carolina Groppa
Jewelry : Charles Winston (Rings, Bracelets)
Earrings: Swarovski Crystal
Shoes:  Guess (I've worn these a million times.)

Yes, my toes were blue to match my dress.

Entertainment Hosts Play Musical Chairs

While trolling through Twitter yesterday, I came across the news on Deadline Hollywood that Showbiz Tonight anchor, Brooke Anderson, was replacing Lara Spencer on The Insider.  Now before Lara Spencer fans freak out, Lara is headed back to Good Morning, America, where she started her national network career.  Lara leaves The Insider after being passed over for the Entertainment Tonight anchor job that Mary Hart retired from late last year.  That gig went to former Access Hollywood host, Nancy O'Dell.  She left Access Hollywood in 2009 after it was rumored that her co-host, Billy Bush, drove her up a wall.  I don't blame her, he's a pesky personality.  Before the ink dries on your Hollywood entertainment show anchor chart, please remember, no one has been announced as Brooke Anderson's replacement on HLN's Showbiz Tonight.  How will this story end?

In the meantime, I send my personal "congratulations" to Brooke who is smart, kind, and perfect for her new role on The Insider.  I had the opportunity to interview her during Oscars Week.  She was one of the judges for the MTVu Oscar Correspondent Contest and I love her for giving me the exclusive on who designed her Oscar gown (A to-die-for designer!).  Here is my interview with her on Mingle Media TV:

2011 Oscars, Day 5

Hanging on the red carpet with members of the US Military at Cinema City Film Festival

Yesterday was a tough one.  I think my Oscars Week madness officially took its toll, I was dragging my tail all day.  After a good night's sleep though, I am rarin' to go!  I want to kick off today with answering the big question of my week:  "Where can we see you on Oscar Sunday?"  Great question!  Now hear are all of the answers:

     1. Before, During, and After the Oscars:  I will be giving live updates via Twitter from getting ready to the last party of the night.  You do not have to sign up for Twitter to follow my updates, my page is public.  Just click on this link.

    2. During the Oscars: Once the show begins, I will be backstage in the interview room as the winners come through to talk about their big win.  I will continue to post pictures and videos from the red carpet and I will be live blogging throughout the night right here at Red Carpet Closet!

I hope you will all join me.  Feel free to ask questions either via Twitter or in the comments section below.  I will do my best to answer them throughout the event.

Interviewing Cheryl Cecchetto about the Governor's Ball design.

Wolfgang Puck cooks and he talks....a lot!

As for yesterday's coverage, I filmed my daily video on my couch at the end of the day which really was the perfect way to end a rainy day in LA.  There's lots of fun news in it and a preview of some of the jewelry I tried on for my dress, so be sure to check it out:

I am also catching you up on a few photos and videos from the past week from the Cinema City International Film Festival to my fun day eating with Wolfgang Puck and the rest of the creative team for the Governor's Ball.  Let me take you Behind the Red Carpet:

At Cinema City International Film Festival where I ask:  Who is your favorite Oscar pick this year?

And at the Food and Beverage Preview with Wolfgang Puck:

I liked that Silver Screen Punch a little too much.

Tom Sizemore is back and healthy.  I hope we see him acting versus acting out on Celebrity Rehab. He was a very fun interview.  Stay healthy, Tom!

Academy Award Nominations

If you have been following all of my fashion dilemmas lately (official Nominations dress will be revealed tomorrow too!), you know that I will be covering the Academy Award nominations LIVE from the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills tomorrow at 5:30 AM PT/8:30 AM ET.  I will feature extensive coverage this week on my site, Starpulse, and Mingle Media TV.  I will provide all of the links here at Red Carpet Closet, so you have one central hub for all of the awards action.  If you want the up-to-the-minute update, please follow me on Twitter as I will be giving the inside scoop from the theatre.

This is going to the start of a very exciting month.  Thanks for joining me for the ride!
