FILM AND "DAYS OF OUR LIVES" ACTOR STEVE BLACKWOOD ON UNH CAMPUS APRIL 6

Film and Television actor, Steve Blackwood, will be on campus teaching a one day Cold Reading Workshop April 6th from 1pm-4pm. Most recognized for his 10 year role as Bart on NBC’s Days Of Our Lives, Mr. Blackwood has also built a strong following for his impactful role as Acting Teacher and Coach. In his teaching he takes what he learned from mentors, Uta Hagen in New York and Milton Katselas (Acting Guru to the stars) in Los Angeles. Combining that with his own years in the industry, Steve has valuable knowledge to share in helping an actor get the parts they audition for. Cold reading is an important step in landing that role. Blackwood used cold reading techniques on “Days Of Our Lives” and in film auditions, such as “Machine Gun Preacher” with Gerald Butler. After preparing for his assigned role of the preacher he walked into the casting room and was told he would be reading for the role of the banker .. COLD. He booked the role. Steve Blackwood will show you how to personalize the copy. Know yourself. Know your casting. Learn the techniques to master the hardest part of any audition…THE COLD READING! Don’t miss out on 3 hours with Steve Blackwood.
